ALUMNI ASSOCIATION CELEBRATIONS on 09-02-2008

 

The first annual alumni association meet was conducted on Feb 09 20008 

The college Secretary Sri A.V Ramana Reddy garu, The Director Sri K. Parvatha Reddy garu. The Principal Dr.  Mallikarjuna Reddy and the Vice Principal Sri V. Chandra Sekhar garu were the dignitaries of the meet.

The college alumni who are pursuing careers with different MNC’S in Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore paid their visit in fond memory of the college

The event was inaugurated with lighting of the lamp by the Secretary, The Director, and The Principal.

The inaugural address was delivered by the college director Sri K. Pravatha Reddy garu who  emphasized on imparting creative thinking and life skills for the alumni to emerge as complete technocrats of the industry.

Remembering the initial days of the college establishment, Director Sri K.Parvatha Reddy garu acknowledged the first batch of the college who had enlived for the motto of the college by adhering to the academic excellence, character building and uncompromising discipline whose foot steps have been following by the latter batches of the college

The key note address was delivered by Sri Ramana Reddy garu who insisted on empowerment of masses and improvement of standards of living through applications of recent trends in technology. Sri Ramana Reddy garu shared his visionary approach for establishing St. Johns college of Engineering and Technology to enrich technical education for the students of the remote region.  In this regard the establishment of St. Johns College of Pharmacy at the campus in the last academic year 2007 was mentioned.

Further Sri Ramana Reddy garu quoted the example of Jawharlal Nehru who laid foundation for the technical education by establishing IIT’s in India and also mentioned the contribution of P. V Narasimha Rao for unveiling the 1988 economic reforms with human face which facilitated technical education into the nuke and corner of the sub continent

Sri Ramana Reddy garu concluded by making everyone think on the need to work together for developing standards of living and class – less society by upgrading and establishing the infrastructure under territary sector.

The Principal and President of Alumni Association meet 2008 Dr.P. Mallikarjuna Reddy garu presided the function who expressed his deep concern for the Alumni, for they represent St. Johns College at every mode of their careers

On this occasion the Principal Dr. P. Mallikarjuna Reddy announced the establishment of Alumni foundation which enlists the details of the Alumni settled in India and abroad and their valuable contributions to the emerging technology

Dr. P. Mallikarjuna Reddy further announced that the Alumni foundation would select the best Alumnus every year for his / her valuable contribution in facilitating interaction between the institute and the industry

 
 

 

Dr. P. Mallikarjuna Reddy also referred about establishing the scholarship program every year on behalf of the Alumni foundation to a economically backward yet meritorious student whose total college fees for pursuing the B.Tech Course would be bore by the Alumni foundation

The last dignitary to deliver the speech on the auspicious day was The Vice Principal Sri Chandra Sekhar garu who expressed his service motto which has been his effort since the establishment of the College. Sri Chandra Sekhar garu shared his experiences on how simplicity and humbleness work for the overall development.

Sri Chandra Sekhar garu concluded to adopt service motto for fulfillment of the being and mentioned that the College had been organizing NSS Programs and Blood donation camps in this respect

The Alumni Association meet 2008 came to an end with the felicitation of Alumni attended and expressions of gratitude and regard by the same with the hope and satisfaction to create their mother institute SJCET as the Learning centre of emerging technologies.
